Episode 18: Goran Sprem

For 10 years, Goran Šprem represented the national team of Croatia in major championships. He won Gold Medal in 2004 Athens Olympics, played three World Championships where he won one gold medal, and two silver medals. Goran also played at Euro Championship in Switzerland and took 4th place.

He played twice in the EHF Champions League finals and, unfortunately, twice lost to the mighty Barcelona. However, he won the EHF Cup in Bundesliga with Nordhorn.

In this episode of Straight Handball Talk, Goran reflects on some critical moments in his career, especially the famous 2009 IHF World Championships finals game in Zagreb against France and shares his take on the recent successes of a new generation in the Croatian national team.

Goran Sprem and Bini Mustafa also share memories from their meeting for the Big Apple tournament in NYC.
